Hotels, clubs, spas, inns, restaurants and other spaces that cater to guests or members require a certain degree of design aesthetic dependent on the refinement level of the intended customer. Still, any hospitality space must be designed with maintenance and energy in mind to reduce costs and meet monthly operating budget expectations. Lighting systems can be as simple as a uniform layout of commodity luminaires or as lavish as strategically placed custom designed fixtures, however, both types can meet energy and sustainability criteria through the careful use of control systems and long life, energy efficient sources.
